About Property Tax Relief Inc.
Jerry Newton - Principal
Our Company:
Property Tax Relief Inc. has been
established in 2008 with the specific purpose of reducing property
owners’ taxes
(real and personal property) that they are paying annually.
Since our inception, we have saved businesses and residents
tens of thousands of dollars in 2008. We believe every property
owner should be treated fairly and never have to worry about
whether or not they are overpaying. You too could be one of
the property owners we talk with on a daily basis who is paying
more taxes than you are required to pay.
The counties of North Carolina have rules they follow when
taxing property owners. These same rules provide for:
Reduced taxes - Qualified seniors, certain
land types, disabled veterans, solar energy heating and cooling,
certain farm products, senior’s homestead, brownfield
improvements, etc.
- Exempting
certain properties - Non profits, fraternal and civic organizations, certain
aircraft, severed development rights, etc.
- Deferring taxes - Agriculture, conservation land, forestry,
etc.
We will work with you to make sure that you receive the benefit
of these rules.
Re-Appraisals:
Counties perform overall re-appraisals
at least once every eight years, some every four years. Sometimes
the values just are not right and are too high. That is where
we come in to help. Market values are always changing. Values
are a function of many factors. The massive county appraisal
process may not know about your property’s specific
issues that affect its value.

Tax Breaks:
There are also “tax breaks” available
to senior citizens, farmers, disabled veterans, homeowner
associations, non-profits, and many more. New programs are
coming into effect annually that may work for you. We are
designed to help you determine what programs you may qualify
for to reduce your annual property taxes...learn more about
property tax breaks
Property Assessments:
The process of property assessments is very difficult
and no matter how excellent the professionals are who perform
the assessments, mistakes are made resulting in property owners
overpaying their taxes. Unless, a specific process is followed
and technical material is evaluated and processed leading to
reduced assessments, a land owner may overpay their taxes for
years.
Property Tax Relief Inc. helps property
owners by handling all of these steps and working on your
behalf to reduce the property tax burden. We can not reduce
all owners’ property
taxes but we can help many owners of land, businesses, and
houses...
